About Us

We started Glass Pendants & More in 2008 as a way to give struggling single moms and others a chance to get out of the cycle of poverty. It has turned out to be a surprisingly lot of just plain fun.

Joe Lore lives in Manchester, New Hampshire, and runs our physical store in Derry. We're open from 8 to 3 every Saturday and Sunday, indoors at the Grandview Flea Market.

Our main product is Murano Glass pendants. Murano Island's reputation as a center for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and destruction to the city's mostly wood buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291. As hot glass cools and passes from a liquid to a solid state, there is an interval when the glass is soft before it hardens completely. This is when the glass-master can shape the material. This same Murano technique was used to create these glass pendants. Since a craftsman forms each piece by hand, no two are exactly alike.
